One Partner. Full Capability.
From subcontracted drilling to full turnkey network delivery, we’re fully bonded, licensed, insured, and ready to go.
Service Tiers
Tier 1
Subcontracted Construction
Ideal for: General contractors, prime BEAD recipients, and large-scale fiber operators
You manage the project. We supply the crews, machines, and field execution.
Redbird provides directional drilling, trenching, conduit installation, fiber placement, and splicing - all under your oversight. We bring immediate availability and the capacity to support large-volume deployments from day one.
For prime BEAD recipients, Redbird is the subcontractor you need: qualified, bondable, and ready to deploy without delay.
Tier 2
Full Construction Management
Ideal for: Municipalities, cooperatives, and ISPs without construction management
You retain project ownership. We run the build.
Redbird manages all construction activities from crew mobilization through final restoration and closeout.
We’ll manage scheduling, supplier coordination, quality control, and client communication. You stay focused on your customers and your network. We make sure the build gets done right.
Tier 3
Ideal for: Municipalities, enterprises, and ISPs entering new markets
Total responsibility. Complete delivery.
Redbird assumes full project ownership from initial engineering and permitting through construction, testing, and network activation. You receive a functioning, tested fiber network ready for service launch without managing a single subcontractor, engineer, or permit application.
Our in-house engineering team, experienced construction crews, and dedicated project management infrastructure deliver true turnkey execution at scale.
Turnkey Design-Build
Core Capabilities
-
Redbird performs the full range of underground construction methods: HDD, vibratory plowing, and open-cut trenching across rock, clay, mixed soil, rural terrain, and developed corridors. We install conduit, innerduct, handholes, pedestals, and vaults. We then pull, splice, and test fiber to project specifications. Our HDD capability extends beyond fiber to water, natural gas, and multi-utility bore paths, with utility locating included as standard. A single mobilization can address multiple underground utility needs simultaneously. No subcontracting dependency. No capability gaps.
-
Pole attachment and strand installation, aerial fiber lashing (ADSS and Figure-8), mid-span attachments, splice case installation, down-guy and anchor work, and make-ready coordination. Complete aerial fiber capability for clients deploying on existing utility infrastructure.
-
In-house network engineering from feasibility study through as-built documentation. Our engineers support grant applications, develop CAD-based high-level and low-level designs, manage permitting and utility coordination, perform field verification, and produce complete post-construction documentation packages. Tier 3 clients receive fully integrated engineering, no third-party firm required.
-
Non-telecom excavation for utilities, drainage, site grading, and preparation. The same crews and equipment deployed on fiber projects serve general contractors, municipalities, and developers with open-cut trenching, backfill, compaction, spoils removal, and full site restoration.
-
Underground electrical conduit installation, service entrance and distribution connections, and street lighting infrastructure construction. This work naturally aligns with fiber deployment activity, enabling bundled scopes and schedule efficiencies for clients executing broader infrastructure programs.
-
Last-mile residential and business fiber installation for ISP clients including: aerial and buried drops, ONT and router installation, interior wiring, business-grade CPI setup, and full activation documentation. A complete last-mile capability for ISPs deploying in new markets.
-
End-to-end procurement and delivery of underground and aerial construction materials through established affiliate relationships including HDPE conduit, innerduct, microduct, handholes, splice vaults, strand, aerial hardware, and more. Supply chain continuity and competitive material pricing on the same invoice as construction services.
-
Dark fiber leasing on existing inter-exchange carrier routes throughout Ohio, wholesale lit fiber connectivity, point-to-point and point-to-multipoint configurations, and custom route builds for anchor tenants and enterprise clients. Designed for carriers, data center operators, wireless backhaul providers, and enterprises seeking long-term, low-cost connectivity without building their own infrastructure.
-
Market analysis, brand development, customer acquisition programs, community outreach, pre-registration campaigns, plus digital and direct mail execution. This is essential support for ISPs entering new markets without an established local presence or customer acquisition strategies.
